Reach Out

I often wonder if technology is really good for mankind... Sure we can comunicate more often, watch something that's happening on the other part of the world in real time or search whatever on a search engine and have 746.000.000 results in 0,23 seconds!! But is it really necessary? Would you die if we didn't have all these gyzmos, and information? The answer is No. Our parent's didn't had celphones or intenet, and were succesfull in life (or some were).

But as evolution commands, we are evolving with all this. My 5 year old niece is more effective in informatics than my mother. Again, the question i'm wondering about, Is my niece having a "better" life, now in the e-generation, than the 'normal' childhood my mother had years ago? It's difficult to tell, because everything has ups and downs, good things and bad things.

I think that what we win in information and amusement, we loss in (real) comunication, and contact with people, but who am i to tell the world to slow down? who am i to tell my brother to forget about games and the computer for a week, and experience life? Maybe i'm the one who's wrong, and i should give up and go with the flow, stick to everything that comes along with no judgement or resistance. After all we only know if we like something after we have experienced it, right?
